A New Deck

Yesterday the new Tarot Erotica Deck arrived. We were very pleased with the fast service and shipping provided by the Astrology Center of America.

The deck is quite unique, beautifully illustrated, and we think will prove good for reading. As promised by it's name the deck is quite erotic.

The deck backs are reversible, a feature we miss in many cards today.

The deck is well balanced between female and male figures, and pansexual. Gay, straight, and other are all well represented and honored.

The printing seems very well done, but the card stock and finish could have been better.

Standing out right away was the fact that The Universe and Judgment are reversed in number.

More detailed study of the decks imagery reveals that while the cards are quite unique, the traditional meanings of each card can still be easily inferred.

Some of our favorite cards include:

The 8 of Stars (pentacles) which depicts an Asian tattoo artist diligently working on his female subject.

The 5 of Swords which depicts a victorious female warrior and her two vanquished subjects, one male, one female.

The 4 of Stars (pentacles) which depicts a young woman's body locked away with her trinkets and treasure.

The 3 of Stars (pentacles) which depicts a craftsman completing his statue of a nude angel.

The 5 of Stars (pentacles) which depicts a male penitent flagellating himself before the priestess / Goddess.

The 3 of Swords which depicts two males angrily assisting a female sword swallower.

The Tower which depicts a shattered building of stone crafted to look like an erect and circumcised penis.

The Star which depicts a nude female front torso in blue white and black.

The Moon which depicts a nude female rear torso in full vivid color.

We will enjoy using this unusual deck, we will also likely purchase a second copy as a collectable.

The Checkup

Even when our lives seem perfect, and there is nothing on our minds it can be helpful to do a general tarot reading covering the various aspects of our lives. It serves as a checkup on our spiritual health much as a yearly visit to the doctor even if nothing seems wrong serves as a checkup on our physical health.

Required Elements of Magick

We have posted about couple rituals we have done recently, but as mentioned before elaborate ritual is not necessary to successful practical magick, although it is often helpful.

Three elements are required for successful magick, those elements are:

Intention
Will
Gnosis

Intention refers to making a clear and unequivocal statement about what it is one is hoping to accomplish with the magick.

Will refers to putting the force of individual imagination, emotion, and intellect into the magick.

Gnosis refers to reaching a transcendent state of spiritual bliss and knowledge.

Magick needs these three elements to succeed but nothing beyond them. Empty hand magick can and does work for many people. Rituals are important however because they serve to focus our will on our intention and create a magickal atmosphere in which it is easier to let go so that we may enter a state of gnosis.

Good Health

One of our group’s members has been suffering from health challenges, last evening we conducted a simple ritual to help ensure her recovery.

She asked two of us to join her in this good health ritual.

On the altar we placed:

A lighted candle to represent our magick rising towards divinity

5 Tarot Cards

A small fetish that she could wear as a talisman after it was charged

The Tarot Cards were:

The Tower to symbolize her current state of illness
The Moon to symbolize her knowledge that she must guard against it growing worse
The Lovers to symbolize the passion that would give our magick power
The Star to symbolize the hope she felt doing the ritual
The Sun to symbolize her recovery

We stated our intention to charge the fetish with healing energy, and created that energy as she began making love to us both. Time passed, the shared energy grew to incredible proportions and at the perfect moment we each visualized that energy entering into the fetish, into her talisman. To close the ritual she placed a small amount of each person’s wetness on the talisman, male and female combined.

She may now wear the talisman for recovery of good health.

Our Heritage of Freedom

In centuries past anyone who wrote a journal similar to this, or participated in the activities mentioned here would have been tracked down, tortured, and most likely put to death by the State and Church acting in concert with each other.

Wise men founded this nation giving us a heritage of religious freedom, a heritage that has been slowly expanding around the globe since our nation was founded over two hundred years ago.

What those men wrote is worth remembering and repeating:

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Article 2, Section 11 of the Constitution of the State of Washington

"Religious Freedom. Absolute freedom of conscience in all matters of religious sentiment, belief and worship, shall be guaranteed to every individual, and no one shall be molested or disturbed in person or property on account of religion; but the liberty of conscience hereby secured shall not be so construed as to excuse acts of licentiousness or justify practices inconsistent with the peace and safety of the state. No public money or property shall be appropriated for or applied to any religious worship, exercise or instruction, or the support of any religious establishment: Provided, however, that this article shall not be so construed as to forbid the employment by the state of a chaplain for such of the state custodial, correctional, and mental institutions, or by a county's or public hospital district's hospital, health care facility, or hospice, as in the discretion of the legislature may seem justified. No religious qualification shall be required for any public office or employment, nor shall any person be incompetent as a witness or juror, in consequence of his opinion on matters of religion, nor be questioned in any court of justice touching his religious belief to affect the weight of his testimony."

Emphasis added.

Some Magickal Terms

About the chalice

About the knife

About sigils

Sex Magick

Specific spells are not necessary for sex magick to be successful, but we sometimes enjoy adding formality to our work, and a carefully crafted spell can help to focus the mind and the will on what one hopes to accomplish.

A spell we crafted recently for business prosperity:

Cleanse the altar with sage and oil

Place on the altar:

A lighted candle representing our shared magick rising towards Divinity
A chalice representing the female principal
A knife representing the male principal, lying across the chalice
An assortment of coins representing monetary resources, and appropriate sigils for our goal are all placed inside the chalice

We included Tarot cards in this altar layout, they were:

The Ace of Pentacles representing that our magick was concerning material prosperity
The Eight of Pentacles representing the care we exercise with our finances
The King of Pentacles representing our clients, those who provide us with material prosperity
The Ten of Pentacles representing the great prosperity we will be blessed with in the coming weeks, months, and seasons
The Four of Swords representing the peace and lack of worry continued prosperity will bring to us.

A note including:

The spell
Our intention in crafting the spell
The incantation “As is Above, So is Below, As is Below, So is Above”

The actual magick takes place as we slowly, passionately make love. We focus on the intention of our magick, but as our arousal grows we allow that focus to slowly move to the backs of our minds. We harness and hold the vast energy raised by our shared passion, releasing it at the moment of orgasm when once again our intention floods our conciseness and is carried to Divinity by our instantly released energy.

To finish the spell we place a small amount of her wetness and his in the chalice and on the knife, mixing the damp of our joy together with the coins and sigils. Later the coins are buried below the door to the business it is our intention to have blessed with material prosperity.

This spell can be used as written, or changed to suit individual tastes and circumstances. There is no “one right way” in magick, this spell will work, and does work well, but so would a vast myriad of others.

Sacred Sex

Sacred Sexuality. Sex Magick. Sacramental Sex. What does it all mean? What role can it play in my life? How can I learn more? Is this right for me?

All creation flows from sexual reproduction; sex is the only giver of life. Human sexuality is holy, a sacred gift from Divinity. Divinity (God / Goddess, as your tradition dictates) desires us to embrace and cherish this gift. We heed this call. We do not fear our sexuality, we embrace it; we do not hide our sexuality, we share it; we do not feel guilt over our sexuality, we delight in it. With wet cunts and hard cocks we worship at the altar of Eros, find transcendent states of bliss and gnosis, all the while improving ourselves and the world around us. The realization of sexual fantasy, sexual pleasure, these constitute our sacrament; our orgasm becomes our union with Divinity.

We embrace lives of abundance, not want. We lead lives of experience, not abstinence. We seek always lives of joyous fulfillment, not bitterness and self-denial. You deserve a life of abundance, experience, joy, and fulfillment. All this and so much more is available to us all, you simply have to seek it out and accept it when it is offered.

We are an open, welcoming, joy filled group of sacramental sex practitioners. You can learn more about us; perhaps even join us by emailing us through this blog. Our email contact information is in our profile.

Are you interested in achieving transcendent states of bliss and gnosis through sacred sexuality? Are you interested in improving yourself and the society around us through your individual sexuality? Are you mature enough to control the powerful emotions sexuality creates within everyone? If you answered yes to all of these questions, perhaps our group might be right for you. Please do send us an email, we love having the opportunity to make new friends.
